What are Acar's requirements for renting a vehicle?

The following requirements and conditions apply for a final and binding rental of a vehicle from our fleet:

  • General minimum age for drivers (including second drivers): 21 years
  • Documents required upon delivery/handover of the rental car: Valid passport and valid driver's license
  • Valid credit card for guarantee deposit (amount of the deposit depends on the selected rental car category, see also FAQ point 4)
  • The tank regulation applies: full on delivery/ full on return

Does Acar charge its customers for the delivery or return of a rental car at a personally desired location (e.g. a specific hotel)?

Acar charges its customers a corresponding delivery and return fee for the delivery and return of a rental car at a personal desired location (e.g. airport, hotel...), which is based on the individual specifications and wishes of the customer. The costs for this will be displayed at the end of your reservation process.

Do I have to pay in advance at Acar?

No, as an Acar customer you only ever pay when you hand over the rental car in person at your desired delivery location. You can do this in cash or by credit card.

Does Acar require a deposit for a selected rental car?

The amount of the respective deposit for a rental car depends on the selected vehicle category. The following rental deposits apply to the respective categories and would only be due in full (e.g. in the event of major damage) or pro rata depending on the extent of the damage to the rented vehicle:

  1. Eco & Eco +: 300,- USD
  2. Sedán & Sedán automatic: 350,- USD
  3. Mini SUV & mid-range SUV: 400,- USD
  4. SUV, All Terrain (Mini) & Commercial Vehicles: 500,- USD
  5. SUV Premium & All Terrain Premium: USD 1,000

Where do I have to return the vehicle?

You can either drop off your rental car at the same location where it was delivered to you or at any other individually desired drop-off location in Paraguay. If you have any questions, please contact the staff at our Acar customer center. You can do this either by e-mail, telephone or via WhatsApp and Telegram.

What happens in the event of an accident?

In this case, please always contact our customer center immediately on the emergency telephone number +595/ 981 135111 (also via WhatsApp and Telegram). Our employees will then assist you with the next steps or take the necessary measures. Especially in the case of accidents with personal injury, the handling in Paraguay is completely different and requires professional support in any case. Acar will of course provide you with this at any time and anywhere in the country. As in Germany, the costs of the damage are settled via fully comprehensive insurance.
